Marmot Media is an up-and-coming marketing agency specializing in ad management, branding, email marketing, social media management, web design, and creative strategy.

The client requested that the logo include either a mountain element or a marmot character. They emphasized wanting the design to be sleek and easy to recognize.

For my first batch of sketches, I incorporated the "M" from Marmot into the logo to create something simple and streamlined. I added subtle mountain motifs to the letterform to give it an alpine feel without being too literal. Overall, my goal was to achieve a design that feels both simple and bold.

For the second batch, I explored the Marmot character to experiment with different design styles and silhouettes. Some of the sketches leaned toward a fun, cartoony look, while others took on a more avant-garde and symbolic approach, using geometric shapes and dynamic lines.
I aimed to ensure that the marmot design would stand strong on its own while still complementing the company name without overpowering it.

After reviewing my sketches, the client noted that they liked the marmot character but also wanted to incorporate a geometric mountain shape into the design.

For this next round, my goal was to ensure that the mountain and the marmot felt cohesive, working together as a unified design rather than appearing as two separate elements.

At this stage, I also developed color sketches to explore which palettes would work best for the overall look.




While creating the logo, I was also tasked with finding a font that would fit the Marmot Media brand identity. The client mentioned that they wanted something fresh, energetic, current, and unique. I focused on bold, artistic sans-serif fonts that conveyed those qualities.

The final font was chosen for its sturdy, no-nonsense appearance, which gives the agency a confident and eye-catching presence.
